Well, they'd be dangerous. I know that in the game your character wears those leg things to be able to fall from really high and not get hurt, but IRL I don't think they're that practical.

So, if you were to try falling from one portal on the ceiling to the one in the floor, eventually you'd reach free fall speed in theory. However, should you miss the opening of the portal by even an inch, or should your arm suddenly flail outward, it's gore gallore. (pun intended)

Let's not even get started on "fling" mechanics. I can't say how many times I've flown out of a portal at high speed into a solid wall and remain unscathed. Hopefully they adopt some real world attributes to the next installment of Portal. If you fly out of a portal and into a wall, you'd most likely die on impact, or receive serious brain swelling and die a few hours later...

Damn, I just killed the whole joke didn't I? -_-

Awsome concept Shez. I'd be really Impressed if you could do something where one portal is on the wall in front of you, and one is behind you, giving that "infinity" look. That'd awsome. ^^
